Joe Mettle at VGMA
The most celebrated gospel musician, Joe Mettle uttered the reason behind his grand success at 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
According to him, the major factor behind his success is whole gospel community that was backing him in such competition. He added that it was a gospel music and Christian thing that supported him from the church and its power is something else.
Further he also submitted his response towards all critics who claimed that the musician does not worth such award. Read his answer as below:
‘I am one person; I try not to allow certain things to influence my path, I’m still who I am, certain things don’t really bother me like that, you need people like that, you can ignore. You will always have people like that and I think there is more to be done than what we have done, so if it was two times it has to be more than that so that those who never heard my songs will hear it more.’
Joe Mettle is very first Ghanaian gospel musician who won the VGMAs 2017 in category of Artist of the year award. No doubt it was jaw dropping moment. Joe Mettle beat E.L, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, MzVee, and Medikal to win the Overall Artiste of the Year.
