Sarkodie; Africa has ranked me among Top 5 Best Emcees
Sarkodie, who is generally known as Rapper Michael Addo has informed Sirius XM in USA that it is great honor for him that he has been named among top five best emcees of all time in Africa.
Sarkodie was in Las Angeles, where the BET awards were held. On this occasion he had an interview with Renada on Sirius XM in America.
In his exclusive interview, Sarkodie give the reason for rapping in English. He stated that why he does not rap in English, because when he is rapping in Twai than English, its sound look real.
According to a statement, he describes that as a poet, he would not like to dilute his message and he wanted to keep his message in its real form. If he would rather want six people to feel the music than to impress thousands of the people. So it is important to keep it how he want to keep it. In which way you heard the music of the New guy and automatically you like and loved it, that is the same way he do to Africa.
Sarkodie also confirmed that Africa does not speak in Twai than English language throughout.
Sarkodie further stated that some of them speak in French, some of them speak in English, but if they all rate me as one of the top five best emcees of all the time ,that should inform you something which is showing and giving the importance to me.
On the American based radio station, he was enlightening some secrets, he explained that I know that you won’t understand what I am saying because you do not speak in Twi, and so what I do is I go with delivery and timing. Good timing is that sounds very good into the ear if you listen to it.
