Kofi Asamoah is the Director of the hit comedy series, ‘Kalybos’.He is protecting actors in English movies after they were censured as performing poetry and not actually acting in films.
Kofi Asamoah explains that, if an actor seems to be narrating poetry it could be on the directions of the director.
The English-speaking film industry came embattled from local-language movie artist Samuel Ofori.
Samuel Ofori criticized his English-speaking group mates while responding to attacks that the local-language movie industry, known as Kumawood produces pitiable movies.
But speaking on the media ‘’Entertainment This Week with MzGee”, Kofi Asamoah has clarified that some movie dialogues require that they are performed accurately as they are.
But in many circumstances, actors have room to narrate themselves using the script as only a guide.
Kofi Asamoah does not believe that artists need to take professional training outdo in the movie industry.
He continues that some people are talented sufficient to space into acting and grow on the job.
“There are people who naturally come out talented….when you put them in a convinced character they will convey”.
The young film maker prominent that “it is conceivable to discover many experts whose acting skills are bad”.
Kofi Asamoah believes that focus of film-making in Ghana should be good content and not workwise qualified actors.
Kofas expressed that “I quite think we should be able to make our screen dramas improved, a lot more interesting and engaging so that even when an actor is performing, it will look original and believable.’’
