Depending on the ideas and business preferences of an artiste, musical partnerships should always be indicated, but absolutely not for the self-acclaimed Rap ‘Dacta’, Okyeame Kwame, exclusively when the idea of work in partnership with another strong artiste like Obrafour is amused.
The Media observed the clear discomfort Okyeame Kwame suffered when he tried to answer a question from a supporter who asked if he would work together with Obrafour on a song, when the ‘Faithful’ singer had time with Bola Ray and Anita Erskine on ‘Starr Drive’ on the Radio.
Okyeame Kwame rejected the idea of working together with Obrafour, declaring that, our brand lines will not permit it.
Even when he was forced by the two hosts to surrender to a possible feature or cooperative struggle between him and Obrafour in future, he shot all options down.
He went on further to express that, when two performers ‘beef’, supporters expect to see the ‘beefing’ artists with a song, which will only fuel their conclusion and comparison of the two artists – something he is not standing by for.
Kwame was making situation to his 2009 gap with Obrafour, which started with the release of the latter’s ‘Kasiebo’ diss track, which had some lyrics inquiring the rap talents of Okyeame Kwame.
