David Ato Dontoh, Ghanaian actor and Tv personality has said that Theatre Arts has collapsed under Mahama-led administration.

As said by Mr. Dontoh, famously known as ‘Ghanaman’, he had presumed the theatre would collapse under the current government after it got mixed with the ministry of tourism but sadly the sector has rather stumbled.
“It’s occupying that now when we’ve been able to raise culture and merge it to the Ministry of creative arts and tourism, it was thought that it would flourish but sadly we have stumbled,” Mr Dontoh told the journalists on Wednesday.
Dontoh, who has performed in various movies including international successful films ‘Beasts of No Nation’ and ‘Deadly Voyage’ said Dr. Kwame, Ghana’s first president who he had rated 9 out of 10 for his contribution to the theatre was the only one who did something for the development of the sector.
For their contribution to development of theatre in country, he rated ex President Rawlings six, Mills and Kufour five and President four out of 10.
