Live Radio Presenter, Jay Foley has reacted to assertions that he made joke of talented award winning young on-screen character, Abraham Attah’s comments at the Oscars.
A segment of Ghanaians plunged on radio presenters from different stations, Jay Foley, Kwame Sakyiamah, better known as Lexis Bill and MzGee for making fun of Abraham Attah, 15, over his pronunciation of ‘thank you’ while he presented award at the Oscars 2016 in his acceptance speech.
But Jay Foley, in his Facebook post also attached with an audio of his presentation and he totally denied of ever making joke of the gifted child-star.
Some part of his speech was, “I woke up this morning to thousands of messages accusing me on the article about me making fun of Master Abraham Attah. I just don’t understand that why would I do such an immoral thing. Instead, I stand for from individuals close to me is stimulating people to be achievers, I really love and adore young people who push past points of confinement and the individuals who don’t have the fearlessness to… Why would I use these words like “hate, loathe, envy,” for Abraham Attah?” These are totally false allegations.
The radio host sincerely apologized to individuals who may have been insulted by his activities despite the fact that he never expected to ridicule him as just wildly speculated. I’m feeling very sorry to the Beasts of No Nation actor and all his fans.
He expressed, “However, one thing I learnt in my life, is as much as I might have the clearest goals about my deeds, never ever to loathe ABRAHAM ATTAH for even nothing, I presumably might have been misquoted and misread by companions and fans out there. Sorry, I apologize. He is a pride of Ghana, why would I ever do this to him”.
